Furthermore, Aperghis & Co has developed a unique sovereign advisory practice, advising (i) the Dutch State on the IPOs of ABN Amro and a.s.r. (and follow-on sell-downs) as well as on the ongoing involvement on TenneT Germany, (ii) the shareholding municipalities of Eneco on the sale of all shares to a foreign consortium, and (iii) the Dutch Central Bank on the transfer plan of Conservatrix.

What is your role?
As an intern at Aperghis & Co you will support the team in the execution of transactions and the preparation of pitches and marketing materials. Due to our team structure, you will have exposure to senior deal team members and “live” transactions, allowing you to develop essential skills in the field of M&A by taking on substantial responsibilities. As an intern, you will:

  • Conduct company-, market-, and sector research
  • Analyse detailed company- and financial information
  • Draft pitches and materials for live transactions, such as teasers and confidential information memoranda
  • Perform financial valuations and modelling, including discounted cash flow (DCF), leverage buy-out (LBO), and multiples analyses (CCA and CTA)

Your profile

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Excellent communication and language skills
  • Pro-active, eagerness to develop and ability to learn quickly
  • Team player with good organisational skills and a rigorous eye for detail
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

 

Requirements

  • Master student or graduate with an affinity for the Dutch FIG sector;
  • Prior experience in M&A, private equity, or the broader financial sector
  • Verbal and written fluency in Dutch and English
