Vortex is looking for an analyst, ideally through an internship, to strengthen their investment team.
As an Analyst you are an integral part of the team and support in all aspects of their operations. Your involvement ranges from analyzing investment opportunities, performing market research and contributing to the execution of transactions. Amongst others, this involves the following activities:
- Supporting deal teams on live transactions
- Teaming up with several of the portfolio companies to work on strategic topics and operational excellence
- Supporting with deal origination with market research and sector deepdives
- Financial modeling and commercial due diligence to evaluate investment opportunities
- Supporting in due diligence, deal negotiations, and attracting bank financing
- Assisting the portfolio companies with financial reporting, performance analysis and buy-and-build
Who Vortex is looking for:
- You have strong affinity with technology and tech-enabled businesses
- You have an entrepreneurial mindset and a hands-on mentality
- You combine strong analytical, social and communication skills
- You are fluent in Dutch and English
- You have 1-2 years of relevant work experience (e.g. M&A, private equity, VC or consultancy)
- You have completed a quantitative university master’s degree (e.g. economics, econometrics, business administration, finance, computer science or other beta degrees)
- You are a team player and enjoy working in a close-knit team
