RD recruitment places great importance on the careful and secure handling of privacy-sensitive information from its website visitors, candidates, employees, and freelancers. Therefore, RD recruitment has established this privacy statement. RD recruitment treats and safeguards the personal information entrusted to it with the utmost care. This privacy statement provides you with insight into how RD recruitment handles your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
II. About us
RD Recruitment is a private limited company. We are located at De Ruyterkade 148, Amsterdam.
RD recruitment is the data controller under the GDPR and, as such, has control over the processing of personal data, determining the purpose and means of the processing.
RD recruitment sometimes engages other companies to perform services on its behalf. In these situations, RD recruitment remains responsible for the processing of your personal data. RD recruitment makes contractual agreements with these companies regarding the handling of your personal data to ensure your privacy is protected.
III. Technical information
When you visit our website, the site automatically collects information about the devices of our visitors. This includes information such as the device used to visit the website, the IP address of your device, the IP address of your Internet Service Provider, the operating system you are using, the date and time of your visit, the web address of the website you were directly linked from, the pages you visited, the information you viewed on the website, your geolocation, and the material you upload to and download from the website. We use this technical information for website management and to improve the quality and effectiveness of our website.
IV. When do we collect your personal data?
We are allowed to store and process your data in the following cases:
- If you have given RD recruitment consent to process your personal data for one or more specific purposes.
- If the processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which you are a party, or to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract.
- If processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation to which RD recruitment is subject.

V. Why do we collect your personal data
Your personal data is used to provide the HR services offered to you as effectively as possible, including recruitment and selection, secondment, mediation, payroll administration, personnel management, and personal development & employability. RD recruitment uses your data for the following purposes:
- Bringing supply and demand together in the labor market;
- To assess your suitability and availability for mediation into permanent or temporary work, or an assignment;
- To record and process the hours worked in our payroll system;
- To contact you about events organized by RD recruitment for its employees;
- To establish and maintain an employment or staffing/placement relationship with you and to carry out the relevant administration for this purpose.
- To fulfill our reintegration obligations and comply with the government-mandated goal of helping individuals with a greater distance to the labor market find employment.
- To formalize an assignment with the client in an agreement, and to maintain and fulfill the agreement with the client.
- To process data on behalf of our clients in the context of a pre-employment screening.
- To promote your personal development and employability, including training, education, and testing.
- For management purposes, including management information, conducting internal controls and ensuring company safety, as well as performing audits and accounting reviews.
- For quality purposes, such as certification.
- To apply for subsidies, premium reductions, etc.
- If we have established an employment or staffing/placement relationship with you, for compliance with laws and regulations, including but not limited to identification, labor laws, tax and social security legislation, fraud prevention, and national and international sanctions laws.
VI. What personal data do we collect from you?
RD recruitment may process the following personal data if you are a job seeker, candidate, seconded employee, freelancer, and/or business partner of RD recruitment. You are responsible for ensuring that the personal data you provide is accurate and up to date.
Job seeker or candidate
- Personal details (name, address, city), email address, phone number, and other contact information.
- Date of birth, age, gender.
- Curriculum vitae (CV), information about education, internships, and work experience.
- Information about your availability.
- Other data that may be relevant for assessing the suitability of the candidate, such as references, testimonials, and information regarding work experience.
- On a voluntary basis, other content through which you introduce yourself (video, photo).
- Other data than those mentioned above, the processing of which is required or necessary for the application of the law.
- Your public LinkedIn profile
Seconded employee and freelancer
If you are, have worked, or will work for RD recruitment or its clients, RD recruitment may process the following data:
- Personal details (name, address, city), email address, phone number, IBAN number, and other contact information.
- Date of birth, age, gender.
- Curriculum vitae (CV), information about education, internships, and work experience.
- Information about training, education, and/or tests you have taken, either independently or through us.
- Information about availability and leave.
- Nationality, BSN (social security number) & identity document (copy of identity document), any work permit.
- Information in the context of a pre-employment screening.
- Information regarding the nature and content of previous employment placements, as well as details regarding their termination.
- Other data that may be relevant for assessing the suitability of the candidate, such as references, testimonials, and information regarding work experience.
- Other data related to personnel, payroll and absenteeism records.
- On a voluntary basis, other content through which you present yourself (video, photo).
- Other data than those mentioned above, the processing of which is required or necessary for the application of the law.
VII. Third parties
RD recruitment may share your personal data with its clients, suppliers, government authorities, and other business partners. This also includes any other instances where we may be required to do so, such as by a court order or judicial ruling.
The provision of personal data is based on legitimate interest, legal obligation, and/or the performance of the agreement in accordance with the purposes outlined in “Why do we collect your personal data?”.
Your personal data may be transferred outside of the Netherlands. RD recruitment has taken the necessary measures to ensure that the transferred personal data is adequately protected.
VIII. Your rights
We value making it easy for you to exercise your rights regarding the processing of your personal data. If you wish to exercise any of the rights described below, you can contact us as outlined.
Acces and/or modify data
You can request at any time via administratie@rdrecruitment.nl to be informed about which (categories of) data we process, for which purposes, the source of the data, and the retention periods we apply.
Additionally, you can contact us at any time to update, correct, or delete your data. If it turns out that we have inaccurate personal data about you, we will rectify it.
When we make changes to your personal data, we will notify you, unless the information is based on a public source, such as a public LinkedIn profile.
Restriction of processing your data
If you disagree with the content of the data we hold about you, you can request to temporarily restrict the processing of your data. We will then refrain from sharing your data until it is corrected to your satisfaction. You can submit a request for data restriction at any time via administratie@rdrecruitment.nl. When we restrict the processing of your personal data, we will notify you.
Right to data portability
You can request the personal data we hold about you in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format via administratie@rdrecruitment.nl. You are free to transfer this information to third parties.
Right to be forgotten
If you no longer wish to use our services, you can submit a request for the deletion of all your personal data. You can request the removal of your data at any time via administratie@rdrecruitment.nl.
You can also withdraw any consent you have given for the processing of your data at any time. We will stop processing your personal data for which you had given consent. However, withdrawing your consent will not affect any processing that has already taken place.
Procedure, response time, and costs
We aim to process your requests as outlined in this section as quickly as possible, but no later than within two weeks. We are required to verify your identity before we can fulfill your requests. Your requests will generally be handled electronically, unless that is not possible or you request otherwise.
For the processing of your aforementioned requests, we will generally not charge you any fees, unless your requests are excessive, manifestly unfounded, or if you request additional copies when exercising your right of access.
IX. Security
RD recruitment takes all necessary measures to protect your personal data against unlawful use. We do this through physical, administrative, organizational, and technical measures. Only authorized personnel have access to the data. If and to the extent that data is provided to data processors who provide services or perform tasks on our behalf, RD recruitment has agreed with them to ensure that they also optimally protect the personal data.
X. Retention period
RD recruitment retains personal data no longer than necessary for the purpose of processing and in accordance with legal retention periods.
- Personal data of job seekers / candidates is retained for 2 years, unless the mediation function of RD recruitment lasts longer.
- Personal data of (former) employees is retained in accordance with the legal retention period (5 years).
XI. Questions, comments, complaints, or (suspected) data breaches

XIII. Changes
RD recruitment reserves the right to amend or modify this privacy statement. None of the provisions in this privacy statement are intended to create any obligation or agreement between RD recruitment and the data subject.

Dutch law applies to the provisions of this privacy statement and any disputes arising from it.
